This Privacy Policy explains how GoMate ("GoMate", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the GoMate mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We do not collect financial/payment information — GoMate does not process payments.
3. How we use your information
- Provide and operate the App (discovery, activities, chat, friends).
- Verify identity and keep the community safe (verification review, reports, blocking, abuse prevention).
- Send service notifications (e.g., activity requests, messages) via push.
- Authenticate you via a one-time SMS code.
- Improve reliability and features through aggregated analytics.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with processors that operate the service for us:

We may disclose information to comply with law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. Location data
GoMate uses precise (foreground) location only while you use the App, to power nearby discovery and distance estimates. We do not collect location in the background. You can disable location in your device settings; some features will then be limited.
6. Data security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access is restricted by row-level security and role-based controls. One-time codes are stored only as hashes. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Data retention & deletion
Deleting your account (Settings → Delete Account in the App, or via our deletion page) immediately closes it and removes it from GoMate — your profile stops appearing to others and you are signed out. Your account data is then retained securely for legal, safety and fraud-prevention purposes. You can request full erasure of your personal data at any time via our deletion page or admingomate@gmail.com, and we will permanently delete it within 30 days.
8. Children
GoMate is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise these, contact admingomate@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App.
