Find a dance partner near you
You have wanted to try salsa, bachata, hip hop or Bollywood dance for ages, but walking into a class alone feels awkward. Or maybe you already dance and need a practice partner. GoMate helps you find a dance partner nearby, or a few people who want to learn and move together.
Browse plans for a dance class buddy, a social dancing group on weekend evenings, or a salsa partner for practice. Request to join, the host approves, and the group chat sorts out the class, timing and level. It is a relaxed way to find people to go dancing with and learn to dance with friends.

How it works
- 1
Find dance plans near you or host one with the style, level, venue type and time.
- 2
Request to join. The host approves people so the group or partner pairing fits the level.
- 3
Confirm the class or venue in the group chat, then meet and dance together.
Stay safe. Dance partnerships here are about the dance, not dating, so set clear boundaries and stick to public classes or studios. GoMate members are selfie-checked, and you can report or block anyone.
Questions, answered
Something else on your mind? Write to us.
Is finding a dance partner on GoMate like dating?
No. GoMate is not a dating app. It is for finding people to do activities with, and dance plans are about learning and enjoying the dance. Hosts can also make plans for everyone, women only or men only.
I have never danced before. Can I join?
Yes. Look for plans marked beginner, or host one saying you are new and want a class buddy. Going to a first class with someone else at your level makes it much less intimidating.
Does GoMate run dance classes?
No. GoMate does not run classes or venues. People nearby post plans to go to a class, practise or attend social dance nights, and others request to join. The app itself is free to use.
