How do I find a trekking group as a solo trekker?
Sign in to GoMate and browse trek plans nearby. Each shows the difficulty, time and approximate distance. Request to join one that suits your level, and once the host approves you, you can chat with the group before the trek.
Are there beginner treks?
Yes. Many hosts post easy trails and mark them as beginner friendly. You can also host your own short hike and approve people who want the same pace, which is a good way to start.
Is GoMate a trek tour company?
No. GoMate does not run treks or sell packages. People nearby post their own plans and others request to join. The app is free, and any costs like transport are shared by the group as agreed in the chat.
