Tech meetups

Find tech meetups near you

Big conferences are great, but a lot of learning in tech happens in small groups: two people debugging together, a few founders comparing notes over coffee. GoMate helps you find coding buddies and small developer meetups nearby, hosted by people who simply wanted company while they build, learn or talk shop.

You might join a weekend build session, put together a hackathon team, or sit in on a casual startup chat about ideas, hiring or side projects. Each plan shows what, when and roughly how far away. Request to join, the host approves, and the group chat is where you share repos, slides or the café name.

How it works

  1. 1

Browse Tech meetups plans, or host one with your stack, the goal and where you will work.

  2. 2

Request to join and mention what you are working on. The host approves people who fit.

  3. 3

Share links and laptop notes in the group chat, then meet up and build.

Stay safe. Meet in public cafés or co-working spaces, and never share passwords or private keys with people you just met. Members are selfie-checked, and you can report or block anyone.

Are GoMate tech meetups free?

GoMate itself is free. Hosts are regular members, not companies, and the plan description tells you what to expect. If a plan involves a café or a paid space, the group sorts that out, and hosts usually mention it upfront.

Can I find people for a hackathon team?

Yes. Host a Tech meetups plan saying which skills you need, such as design or backend, and when you want to prepare. Interested people request to join, you approve the ones who fit, and the group chat becomes your team channel.

I am a beginner. Can I join?

Absolutely. Many hosts welcome beginners, and you can host a session yourself saying you are just starting. Being clear about your level in your request helps the host decide and helps everyone get more out of the meetup.
